Newmarket 31-St Ives 26
St Ives put in a poor performance against Newmarket which was littered with mistakes. Newmarket applied early pressure on St Ives moving the ball through their backs to score the first try of the game. St Ives continued to make mistakes throughout the game allowing Newmarket to further increase their lead. St Ives managed to put some moves together to score just before the break. In the second half St Ives picked up the pace managing to creep ahead with a try soon after the break. Newmarket soon regained the lead. With a couple of minutes left St Ives took the lead back, unfortunately Newmarket grabbed a deservedly last ditch try right at the end to win. Tries by: Dan Malem x2, Darius Kwong & Harry Martin.
