Bourne 0 - St. Ives 47
An excellent team performance from St Ives U13's saw them run out 47-0 winners at a very wet and windy Bourne. St Ives dominated both in the forwards and backs producing the best team display of the season.
The first half was played mostly in the Bourne half with the St Ives back line passing the ball with ease creating space for the wingers to run into. St Ives quickly gained the advantage scoring the first try within the first couple of minutes into the game.
The second half started in exactly the same way as the first with St Ives pack taking control in both the rucks and mauls keeping the pressure on the Bourne line. As the confidence grew the backs started to show their talent with some well worked miss moves and loops resulting in some very well worked tries.
Tries scored by Harry Martin x3, Jack Topham, Alex Colah, Max Dominy, Angus Hughes and Dale (Pastie) Taylor. Conversion Jack Topham x1

Oundle 37 - St Ives 5
Having had a couple of games lost to bad weather, St Ives were happy to travel away from a waterlogged home pitch to Oundle. Amidst all the surrounding pitches submerged by the overloaded River Nene, the Oundle first team pitch was deemed playable. As the kick off was taken, the rain started.
Early exchanges were even, with Oundle surprising St Ives with early movement of the ball wide. However, getting one of the few pieces of clean possession, St Ives' ultimate man-of-the-match, Matt Nice, spotted a gap in the Oundle defence to sprint more the half the field to score an unconverted try.
Oundle continued to play wide, but could not find space until a couple of missed tackles led to encampment on the St Ives line. Finally the defence was breached as Oundle equalised. Just before half time, Oundle gained a penalty in the St Ives 22, and with swift long passes, put the Oundle winger in at the corner. Half time, 10-5.
St Ives turned to face all the elements, the slope, the wind and heavier rain in the second half. Oundle reverted to expected type and began to play almost solely through the forwards, where led by their man-of-the-match No.8, the pack made ground constantly. St Ives defended with gusto, but the pressure was too much and 5 tries were conceded in a half spent almost entirely in the St Ives 22. Oh for a warm dry day, thought the St Ives side, and thought about lobbying the fixture secretary to move next year's fixture to the spring.
