U7s take on the weather and the opposition

Superb effort against the elements and a small army!

The weather did not look very promising on the way to Bedford, and a morning of showers and cold winds across the pitches made life difficult for the U7s, but there was hardly a complaint from the lads as they took on 8 other teams from Bedford and Luton.

Divided into 2 squads, both sets of players seemed very focused on the try line and how to get there as quickly as possible. Tagging was difficult in the conditions, so both teams used the Kevin Keegan strategy of simply trying to score one more than them.

Once again we lost count of the tries, but across the 6 matches there must have been 7-8 tries per match.

Special mentions go to Edward, who suffered an early nosebleed after a clash of heads but went on to put in a great effort at collecting tags, and Harvey who spent a while feeling too cold to play, but realised the best way to warm up is to sprint through the opposition and touch down try after try!

Player of the day was Noah, who in the space of a week went from being unsure of the rules to jinking through the gaps with some superb running to rack up several tries.
