The Club is excited to announce success in its applications for grounds maintenance equipment and grass maintenance funding from the Football Foundation programme, supported by the RFU.
The equipment element provides a New Holland 35 HP tractor on turf tyres, a Quadraplay multitask turf groomer and mower.
The maintenance element will fund a range of improvement activities which will include overseeding, spring and autumn applications of fertiliser together with verti-draining deep tine aeration.
Benefits of these include improved playing surfaces leading to greater enjoyment. In addition, fewer games/training being postponed or moved due to ground surface conditions.
In summary, the two elements to the funding allows the club to have a comprehensive grounds maintenance program as never before.
