With each team showing up with just 15 players, this was shaping up to be a close game. But St Ives seemed half asleep from Kick Off, allowing Peterborough to run in two easy kick-and-chase tries within 10 minutes. But soon St Ives were back in the game, taking a try of their own after a nice line out and maul set piece. The game swung both ways throughout the first half, finishing up 17 all.

St Ives had started looking dominant towards the end of the first half and that's how they came back after the break. With some excellent teamwork, powerful carries and quick ball, the Bulls got over the line twice within 10 minutes, with good conversions in windy conditions. Peterborough managed to get one more try at the midway point following a penalty against St Ives for offside, but that was to be their last score. Some more quick ball from the backs and powerful carries from the forwards and we took another try at almost 55 minutes.

An injury to a Peterborough player meant we took one player off too to play 14v14. With a Peterborough line out within their own 22, St Ives defence was solid, and we snatched an interception and ran in our final try just minutes before the final whistle. A great display of teamwork, positivity and determination from the 15 St Ives players to take the 43-22 win!
