Ives had a tough day at the office as Leighton Buzzard showed why they are promotion bound with a scintillating display of running rugby.
The variation in attack orchestrated by the home stand off often left the Bulls chasing shadows.
Despite the heavy defeat Ives can be proud of their efforts across the park. Only in the last few minutes did tiredness allow a bunch of scores to Buzzard which put an greater gloss on the score than may have been deserved.
Whilst all rallied to the cause, mention must be made of Ed Mortimer who showed fight and determination throughout, tackling all comers and holding up one try attempt over the line.
At the other end of the scale, veteran Tommy Beauchene came closest to scoring a try when he crashed over from a lineout, but was held up.
The Bulls look forward to their final game next weekend at Old Laurentians.
