Skipper Josh taylor was very content. “It was a tough contest against a well drilled St Neots side.
“Things were looking bleak 20 minutes into the first half with the opposition going 3 tries up and us losing our only jumping option in the line out. The boys kept fighting and we brought the game back to a one score affair ending the half 19-12 down.
“With our loosehead prop then sustaining an injury just before the end of the first half we had no choice but to empty our bench for the start of the second half. With a ramshackle scrum and a non-functioning lineout we knew the odds were against us but the boys dug deep and we can out 34-28 victors.
“It was a fantastic game to be a part of and in very difficult conditions under foot.
“This game puts us on a good footing going into the second half of the season.”
